Software Development
At Fabasoft the individual product teams (agile scrum teams) are responsible for the research and - building on the research results - development of new and the further development of existing software products.
Product innovations are implemented according to the principles of "Quality, Usability and Style". The aim of satisfying the highest quality demands defines every stage of development - from the conception of products with the mechanisms of agile development methods to the automated tests in different system constellations.
The focus on usability lies in the continual improvement of user-friendliness by simplifying input elements and the user interface. With mobile end devices such as the Apple iPhone or Apple iPad, Fabasoft Enterprise Content Management product users can easily access their information - either in the web browser or via apps specially designed and optimized for these end devices.
A further focus of research and development is the provision of a platform on the basis of Fabasoft Folio Cloud for external developers to create their own applications for Cloud services (Cloud Apps). Alongside the design and extension of an infrastructure for developers, the Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference also takes place twice a year.
In regular discussions with analysts we are constantly making an effort to recognize market trends as early as possible and to flow these trends into our product development. these ensures that we can profit from upcoming trends as early as possible.
Harald Pfoser
Fabasoft Folio Cloud Product Owner and IT Trainer:
"My career at Fabasoft, since I started in January 1994, has always been exciting and has opened up a wide array of different opportunities.
I would just like to highlight a few stations from my Fabasoft timeline:
I started in the thrid level support for Fabasoft software products. Via the professional services department I advanced to the Fabasoft Academy (internal training center for Fabasoft employees) and Fabasoft Press (Fabasoft publishing). As head of this sector I was responsible for the continuous further development of Fabasoft employees, which is taken very seriously.
A Fabasoft motto is "lifelong learning". The Fabasoft Academy offers all employees individual opportunities for further development
I am currently Product Owner for "Fabasoft Folio Cloud". The daily project work with the agile scrum team requires the knowledge that I was able to acquire from the different areas - from third level support for Fabasoft products to product owner via consulting, training and project management in professional services.
But it's not just about work at Fabasoft. Regular events are also part of our working routine. I'm particularly active in the sporting activities such as the skiing trip and marathon runs.
I value the constant development of Fabasoft as well as my personal and professional opportunities very highly - each employee is both encouraged and challenged."
Klaus Pesendorfer
Software Developer in Fabasoft app.telemetry Scrum Team:
"I began my career with Fabasoft in September 2004 alongside my studies (20 hours per week). The cooperation between Fabasoft and the university in Linz worked well here. Flexible time management allowed me to conduct uni projects in cooperation with Fabasoft and to therefore use my experience and knowledge in both fields. Since I was soon fully involved in larger projects and my studies were coming to an end I gradually built up my working time to full time.
In 2006 I published a Fabasoft press book together with three colleagues that would later become part of my dissertation. I am also now a certified project manager - this training is part of my further development program at Fabasoft.
In March 2007 I completed my engineering studies (Diplom-Ingenieur). I successfully implemented my first software project at Fabasoft and work closely together with my colleagues to develop existing and new products."
